Jar recipe for delicious chocolate-pecan cookies, ideal for holiday gifting to baking enthusiasts.
Ingredients:
  • 1.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.75 cup dark brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 cup cocoa
  • 0.5 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • In a medium bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a 1-quart wide-mouth canning jar, create a beautiful layers of dark brown sugar, white sugar, cocoa, pecans, and chocolate chips, pressing down firmly. Finish by carefully adding the flour mixture, filling the jar up snugly.
  • Attach a tag with the following instructions: Chocolate Cookie Mix in a Jar: Preheat the oven. Empty mix into a bowl and blend well. Add butter, egg, and vanilla. Shape into balls and place on baking sheet. Bake, then cool before enjoying.
