Whiskey crepes with decadent chocolate filling, topped with warm chocolate sauce. Prepare in advance for a show-stopping dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 2 eggs
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 6 teaspoons white sugar
  • 0.33333334326744 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 1 fluid ounce cognac
  • 1 (3.9 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 teaspoon instant coffee granules
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • 4 (1 ounce) squares bittersweet chocolate
  • 0.5 cup butter or margarine
  • 1.25 cups nonfat evaporated milk
  • 2.5 cups confectioners' sugar
Instructions:
  • Combine eggs, milk, water, flour, sugar, butter, and cognac in a large bowl to make the crepe batter.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine pudding mix, instant coffee, and whipping cream. Beat with an electric mixer until thick and creamy.
  • In a small saucepan, combine chocolate, butter, evaporated milk, and confectioners' sugar. Melt the ingredients together until the mixture thickens slightly.
  • Preheat a small skillet or crepe pan over high heat. Pour a small portion of the batter into the skillet, swirling it to coat the bottom evenly. Cook until lightly browned, then flip and brown the other side briefly. Expect the first crepe to be imperfect, subsequent ones will be better. Stack and cool the crepes before filling.
  • Fill each crepe with the savory filling, wrap it up, then generously drizzle with the sauce before serving.
