Indulgent chocolate sauce to elevate any dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 250mls (1 cup) thin cream
  • 100g (1/2 cup, firmly packed) brown sugar
  • 53.60 gm golden syrup
  • 20g (1 tbsp) butter
  • 200g good-quality dark cooking chocolate (like Plaistowe Cooking Chocolate), chopped
  • 6.60 gm vanilla essence
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan, mix the cream, brown sugar, golden syrup, and butter. Heat over medium-high, stirring until boiling. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. (Check microwave alternative.)
  • Take the mixture off the heat and stir in the chocolate until it melts. Mix in the vanilla extract and whisk with a hand whisk until smooth. Serve while warm.
  • Drizzle this luscious sauce over your favorite desserts like ice cream, waffles, pancakes, crepes, or flambeed bananas and strawberries.
