Elevate your homemade treats with luxurious bittersweet chocolate ganache infused with rum.
Ingredients:
  • 9 ounces bittersweet chocolate, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon dark rum
Instructions:
  • Assemble all ingredients needed for the recipe.
  • Add the decadent chocolate to a medium mixing bowl.
  • In a small saucepan, heat the cream over medium heat until it just reaches a boil, being careful not to let it boil over.
  • Once the cream reaches a boil, immediately pour it over the chocolate in the mixing bowl. Whisk until the chocolate has melted and the mixture is smooth, then gently stir in the rum.
  • Allow the ganache to cool for 5 to 10 minutes, then pour it onto the center of the cake and spread it towards the edges.
  • Chill the frosting or chocolate filling until thick (up to 1 hour in the refrigerator), then whip until light and fluffy. Spread it with a spatula like a regular frosting.
