Decadent dark chocolate cake with maraschino cherries and nuts, topped with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package chocolate fudge cake mix
  • 0.75 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1.3333300352097 cups water
  • 1 cup chopped almonds
  • 1 (16 ounce) jar maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and thoroughly grease and flour two 9-inch pans.
  • Combine cake mix and cocoa in a large bowl, then create a well in the center. Add water, mayonnaise, and eggs. Mix on low speed until blended. Scrape bowl, then beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Fold in chopped nuts and cherries.
  • Transfer the batter into the prepared pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let it cool before serving.
