Create a delightful dessert using fresh seasonal pears.
Ingredients:
  • 120g (1/3 cup) sweet orange marmalade
  • 125mls (1/2 cup) water
  • 3 large pears (like Beurre Bosc or Packham), peeled, cored, halved, cut into thin wedges
  • 100g dark cooking chocolate, broken into small pieces
  • 60mls (1/4 cup) thickened cream
Instructions:
  • In a medium saucepan, mix 90g (1/4 cup) of marmalade with water. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Add pears, cover, and simmer gently for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pears are tender. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
  • In a small saucepan, combine 1 tablespoon of marmalade, chocolate, and cream. Stir over low heat for 5-6 minutes until chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth. Drizzle the chocolate sauce over the pears before serving. (Refer to microwave tip if needed.)
