Irresistible chocolate cookies with a Snickerdoodle twist. Guaranteed to disappear in no time!
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 tablespoons margarine
  • 0.5 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.75 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
  • Combine flour, baking soda, and salt, then set aside. Melt margarine in a saucepan over medium heat, stir in cocoa, and let it cool. Cream butter, 1 cup white sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy in a large bowl. Beat in eggs one at a time, then mix in cocoa mixture and vanilla. Add sifted ingredients to make a soft dough. Refrigerate dough for at least 1-2 hours before using.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Shape the chilled dough into 1-inch balls, coat them in the sugar, and arrange them 2 to 3 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes. Let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
