Irresistible cake with Chocolate Toast Crunch® streusel topping.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup ground Chocolate Toast Crunch® cereal*
  • 6 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
  • Extra cereal for garnish, as desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease and flour the bottom of a 13x9-inch pan.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the Cake ingredients on low speed for 30 seconds, then switch to medium speed for 2 minutes. Remember to scrape the bowl occasionally.
  • In a medium bowl, combine flour, ground cereal, brown sugar, and butter using a fork until the mixture resembles crumbs. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Layer half of the cake batter in the pan, evenly sprinkle 1 1/2 cups of streusel on top. Cover with the remaining batter, spreading to cover the streusel layer, and finish by sprinkling the remaining streusel on top.
  • Bake for 32 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely in the pan on a cooling rack. Cut into 15 servings by slicing into 5 rows by 3 rows.
