Create decadent homemade chocolate Turtles with just 5 simple ingredients for a gourmet treat that rivals the candy shop.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 2 (12 ounce) bags chocolate chips
  • 25 individually wrapped caramels, unwrapped
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for a perfect start to your dish.
  • Spread the pecans evenly on a baking sheet.
  • Roast pecans in the preheated oven until golden and fragrant, for about 7 minutes.
  • Gently melt chocolate chips in a double boiler over simmering water, stirring often and using a rubber spatula to prevent burning.
  • Prepare the baking sheet by covering it with aluminum foil and greasing it with butter.
  • In a saucepan over low heat, melt caramels with water and butter until smooth. Stir occasionally. Gently mix in pecans.
  • Spoon the caramel mixture onto the baking sheet and let it cool and firm up.
  • Cover caramel nut clusters with a luscious chocolate drizzle and chill in the refrigerator until firm, approximately 1 hour.
