Indulge your guests with decadent chocolate-glazed malt cookies – the ultimate dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
  • 3/4 cup malted milk powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
  • Chopped chocolate-covered malted milk balls, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Combine flour, 3/4 cup cocoa, 3/4 cup malted milk powder, and baking soda in a medium bowl; set aside. In a large bowl, cream together 1 cup butter, granulated sugar, and 2/3 cup brown sugar with an electric mixer for about 5 minutes or until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla. Gently fold in the flour mixture until just combined. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until cookies are puffed and edges are set, but centers are still soft. Let cool for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack and allow to cool completely.
  • In a 2-quart saucepan, melt 1/4 cup butter with 1/2 cup brown sugar and milk over medium heat for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally until smooth. Remove from heat and mix in 3/4 cup malted milk powder and 1/4 cup cocoa until smooth. Spread the glaze over the tops of the cookies and finish by adding a sprinkle of malted milk balls.
