Indulge in decadent bacon chocolate peanut butter bars made with Betty Crocker® mix - a sweet treat for any occasion.
Ingredients:
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pouch Betty Crocker™ peanut butter cookie mix
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons maple-flavored syrup
  • 10 slices bacon, crisply cooked, crumbled (about 3/4 cup)
  • 1/2 cup chopped peanuts
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (6 oz)
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly coat a 9- or 8-inch square pan with cooking spray.
  • Combine cookie mix, oil, syrup, and egg in a large bowl until a soft dough forms. Set aside 1/4 cup bacon for garnish, then mix the rest of the bacon and peanuts into the dough. Press the mixture evenly into the pan.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Return to oven and bake for 1 minute. Spread melted chocolate over bars, then sprinkle with reserved 1/4 cup bacon. Let cool completely for about 1 hour until chocolate is set.
  • Cut the bars into bite-sized squares and store them in an airtight container in the fridge.
