Get the whole family involved in creating adorable Christmas tree treats together.
Ingredients:
  • 4 egg whites, at room temperature
  • 215.00 gm caster sugar
  • Green gel food colouring
  • Rainbow stars sprinkles, to decorate
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 120C/100C fan-forced, then grease a large baking tray and line it with baking paper.
  • With an electric mixer, whip egg whites until soft peaks form. Slowly incorporate sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, ensuring it dissolves after each addition.
  • - Create festive stripes in the piping bag by running a skewer dipped in green food coloring along the sides. - Fill the piping bag fitted with a 1.5cm star nozzle with meringue mixture. - Pipe the meringues, each about 4cm in diameter and 3cm apart, onto the tray in a Christmas tree shape finishing with a peak. - Finish by decorating the meringues with stars.
  • Bake for 1 hour until just firm to the touch. Allow to cool completely in the oven with the door slightly open. Serve.
