Elevate your holiday breakfast with a hearty ham, egg, and cheese casserole.
Ingredients:
  • cooking spray (such as Pam®)
  • 2 cups diced cooked ham
  • 2 tablespoons butter, or as needed
  • 7 slices bread, crusts removed
  • 0.5 pound American cheese, cubed
  • 3 cups milk
  • 6 eggs, beaten
  • 0.75 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 0.75 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
  • Prepare all your delicious ingredients.
  • Coat a 9x13-inch casserole dish with cooking spray.
  • Place a layer of ham on the bottom of the casserole dish. Butter one side of each slice of bread and then cut them into cubes. Arrange the buttered bread cubes on top of the ham and layer slices of American cheese over the bread cubes.
  • Combine milk, eggs, mustard powder, and salt in a bowl and pour over the layer of American cheese. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), and unveil the casserole by gently removing the aluminum foil.
  • Cook until the cheese is bubbly and the eggs are fully cooked in the center, approximately 1 hour in the preheated oven.
