Festive Christmas tree cupcakes with green frosting and a variety of colorful decorations for a fun holiday treat.
Ingredients:
  • 2.5 cups vanilla frosting, divided
  • 12 unfrosted cupcakes
  • 2 drops green food coloring, or as needed
  • 0.25 cup sprinkles, colored sugar, or candies
Instructions:
  • Transfer 1/2 cup of vanilla frosting to a bowl. Use a knife to thinly spread frosting over the top of each cupcake. Chill cupcakes in the refrigerator for 30 minutes for easier decorating.
  • Mix the remaining 2 cups of vanilla frosting with green food coloring until the frosting turns a consistent green color. Add 1 drop of green food coloring at a time, if necessary, to achieve the desired shade of green.
  • Transfer the frosting to a piping bag and pipe green frosting around the edge of each cupcake, working inwards in a circular motion to create a tree shape. Repeat for the rest of the cupcakes.
  • Garnish Christmas trees with a variety of colorful sprinkles, colored sugar, or candies to create festive "ornaments".
