Easy-to-make, irresistible bite-sized toffee candies coated in chocolate and walnuts - perfect for gifting!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon corn syrup
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1.5 cups chopped walnuts, divided
  • 1 (6 ounce) package chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Prepare a 9-inch square baking dish by greasing it with butter. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in sugar and corn syrup until smooth, then add water and continue stirring. Heat the mixture to 290 degrees F using a candy thermometer.
  • Once the temperature is reached, add 1 cup of walnuts and cook for an additional 3 minutes while stirring constantly. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and let it cool. Once the toffee has cooled, transfer it onto waxed paper. Melt chocolate chips in a metal bowl over simmering water or in the microwave, stirring frequently until smooth.
  • Spread a generous amount of the rich melted chocolate onto one side of the toffee slab, then sprinkle an ample portion of the remaining nuts. Let it cool until firm, then repeat the process for the other side. Finally, break the delectable creation into irresistible bite-sized pieces.
