Delicious marinara sauce that pairs perfectly with eggplant or meatballs. Easily customize by adding ground meat for a hearty meat sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can peeled and diced tomatoes
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over medium-high heat, sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until golden and slightly tender, stirring often, for 2 to 4 minutes.
  • Combine diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, sugar, oregano, and salt in a saucepan. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes until flavors meld together, stirring occasionally.
