Cinnamon heart biscuits

Spice up your love life with cinnamon heart biscuits!
Ingredients:
  • 250g chilled butter, cubed
  • 80g 1/2 cup) icing sugar
  • 300g (2 cups) plain flour
  • 3.75 gm ground cinnamon
  • 18.00 gm icing sugar, extra, to decorate
  • 2.50 gm ground cinnamon, extra, to decorate
Instructions:
  • In a food processor, combine butter and icing sugar until pale and creamy. Add flour and cinnamon, pulse until mixture just starts to come together.
  • Transfer the mixture onto a work surface and gently knead to form a disc shape. Wrap with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C.
  • Divide the dough in half and roll out on a lightly floured surface to a 1 cm thickness. Use a biscuit cutter to create heart shapes (or any desired shape) and place them on a baking tray.
  • Continue with the rest of the dough. Bake in a preheated oven for approximately 15 minutes, or until golden brown and fully cooked. Allow to cool on a wire rack.
  • Combine the remaining ground cinnamon with the extra icing sugar and sift over the biscuits for a delightful decoration.
