Make delicious cinnamon rolls with frozen bread dough, filled with brown sugar and walnuts, topped with sweet icing.
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter, divided
  • 1 (1 pound) loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
  • 0.66666668653488 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.33333334326744 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 0.66666668653488 cup sifted confectioners' sugar, or as needed
  • 1 tablespoon milk, or more as needed
  • 1 dash vanilla extract
Instructions:
  • Prepare the two 9-inch round cake pans by lightly greasing them with 1 tablespoon of melted butter; then, set them aside.
  • Roll out bread dough into an 18x6-inch rectangle. Brush with a tablespoon of melted butter. Combine brown sugar, walnuts, and cinnamon; sprinkle over dough. Roll dough into a log, beginning with a long edge. Moisten other long edge with water and press to seal.
  • Slice the log into 20 pieces. Place the rolls, cut-sides down, in the cake pans. Cover with a towel and allow them to rise in a warm spot until they double in size, approximately 1 1/2 hours.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for a perfect bake.
  • Drizzle the rich heavy cream over the fluffy rolls.
  • Bake until beautifully golden brown in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes.
  • Prepare the icing by mixing confectioners' sugar, milk, and vanilla in a bowl until it reaches a smooth and pourable consistency. Adjust by adding more milk or sugar to achieve the desired texture.
  • Pour the sweet icing generously over the freshly baked cinnamon rolls.
