Delicious cinnamon swirl bread - quick and easy batter with cinnamon sugar swirl. Perfect for breakfast or tea, even tastier the next day.
Ingredients:
  • 1.33300000429153 cups white sugar, divided
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 0.33300000429153 cup vegetable oil
Instructions:
  • Prepare all your fresh, high-quality ingredients.
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and lightly grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  • Combine 1/3 cup sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon in a small bowl; let flavors meld.
  • In a large bowl, mix together flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, combine egg, milk, and oil, then add to the flour mixture. Stir until just combined.
  • Divide the batter in half, pouring the first portion into the prepared pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the batter. Repeat with the remaining batter and cinnamon-sugar mixture. Use a knife to create a marbled effect through the batter.
  • Bake in the oven until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, for 45-50 minutes.
  • Allow the dish to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to fully cool. Wrap in foil and leave overnight before slicing.
