Irresistible cinnamon-raisin yogurt biscuits blend the best of cinnamon rolls and biscuits for pure happiness.
Ingredients:
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 1 (8 ounce) container plain yogurt
  • 0.5 cup raisins
  • 0.5 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 teaspoon orange juice
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
  • Mix white sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. In another bowl, combine half of the sugar mixture with flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Cut in butter until mixture looks like coarse crumbs. Make a well in the center, then add yogurt and raisins. Stir until dough forms.
  • Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead gently 8 to 10 times. Roll out the dough to 1/2-inch thickness and use a 2 1/2-inch biscuit cutter to cut out biscuits. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and sprinkle with the remaining sugar mixture.
  • Bake in the oven until lightly golden, about 10 to 12 minutes.
  • Combine confectioners' sugar and orange juice in a bowl, whisking until you have a smooth icing. Drizzle this over the warm biscuits for a delicious finishing touch.
