Creamy clam dip with cream cheese, sour cream, and Old Bay seasoning - a flavorful party favorite.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (8 ounce) block cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 large shallot, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 3 tablespoons chopped chives
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 3 teaspoons Old Bay Seasoning, or to taste
  • 6 teaspoons prepared horseradish, drained
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 (6 1/2 ounce) cans chopped clams in clam juice, drained with 1 tablespoon clam juice reserved
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish
  • To serve
  • Thick-sliced potato chips, crackers, or crudités
Instructions:
  • Prepare the clam dip: In a medium bowl, use a handheld mixer or a whisk to beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add shallots, parsley, chives, lemon zest and juice, Old Bay seasoning, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and sour cream.
  • Add the clams, ensuring to include the variety of sizes for a delightful surprise in every bite. Pour in the 1 tablespoon of reserved clam juice to enhance the dip's rich clam flavor. Combine on low speed until fully mixed.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste: Taste the dip and add more Old Bay for saltiness or kosher salt for extra spice, if desired.
  • Allow the clam dip to chill: Cover and refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours and a maximum of 3 days.
  • Before indulging in this delightful dip with a variety of dippables like chips, crackers, or crudités, generously sprinkle the reserved parsley over the top for a burst of color and flavor. Enjoy!
