Irresistibly soft and chewy peanut butter cookies made with smooth or crunchy peanut butter. Perfect for pleasing a crowd.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
  • Using an electric mixer, cream together butter, peanut butter, white sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl until the mixture is smooth and then beat in the eggs.
  • Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gently mix into the butter mixture until just combined. Refrigerate the cookie dough for 1 hour to make it easier to handle.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to get it nice and hot for baking.
  • Form the dough into 1-inch balls and arrange them 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Flatten each ball using a fork to create a crisscross pattern.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 7 to 10 minutes until the edges turn golden. Allow to cool on the baking sheets briefly before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
