Classic peanut butter cookies with signature crosshatch pattern.
Ingredients:
  • 1.25 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 0.75 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • In a large bowl, mix the peanut butter, margarine, brown sugar, and white sugar until creamy. Beat in the eggs and vanilla. Add the flour, baking powder, and baking soda and mix until combined. Shape the dough into walnut sized balls and place them 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Use a fork dipped in flour to gently flatten each cookie in a criss-cross pattern.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes until lightly browned. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
