Irresistible chocolate peanut butter cookie - a family favorite!
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 0.25 cup vegetable shortening
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.125 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (12 ounce) package peanut butter chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to blend butter, shortening, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Incorporate the first egg fully, then add the vanilla with the second egg. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt. Gently mix the flour mixture into the butter mixture until just combined. Finally, fold in peanut butter chips until evenly distributed.
  • Using a spoon, place dollops of the dough 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake in a preheated oven until the cookies are set, approximately 8 minutes.
