Transform ground coffee into smooth, refreshing cold brew by steeping overnight, sweeten with syrup, and enjoy over ice.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup coarsely ground coffee beans
  • 4 cups water, divided
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • ice cubes
Instructions:
  • Combine coffee beans and water in a French press or large measuring cup and allow to steep for 8 hours to overnight.
  • In a saucepan, bring together 2 cups of water and sugar, boiling until the sugar dissolves (3 to 5 minutes). Transfer the syrup to a container and chill in the refrigerator.
  • Pour the brewed coffee through a fine-mesh strainer, French press plunger, or coffee filter. Fill a glass with ice and add 1/2 cup of coffee, then sweeten to taste with simple syrup.
