Classic family recipe for irresistible cookies.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 3.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 egg whites
Instructions:
  • Beat the butter and sugar together until fluffy, then add egg yolks, 2 tablespoons water, flour, salt, and vanilla. Refrigerate the dough.
  • Heat your oven to a toasty 400 degrees F (205 degrees C).
  • Load the cookie press and form the cookies on a non-greased baking sheet. Brush each cookie's top with a mixture of egg whites and 2 tablespoons of water. Add decorations as you like.
  • Bake the cookies at 400 degrees F (205 degrees C) for about 10 minutes until they turn a beautiful golden brown on top.
