Crisp cabbage and onions sauteed and mixed with pasta and creamy cottage cheese.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup margarine, divided
  • 1 medium head cabbage, cored and sliced thin
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 (16 ounce) package uncooked spaghetti
  • 1 cup small curd cottage cheese
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium-low heat, melt 3 tablespoons of buttery margarine. Add the cabbage and onions, cover, and cook until tender and golden, stirring occasionally.
  • Bring a large pot of perfectly salted water to a boil. Cook pasta for 8 to 10 minutes until it's al dente; then, drain.
  • Combine cooked pasta with cabbage and mix in the rest of the margarine. Gently fold in cottage cheese and sugar, cooking until warmed through.
  • Season generously with salt and pepper to enhance the flavors.
