Creamy pasta with cheesy cottage cheese, tangy sour cream, and flavorful sautéed onions - a versatile and beloved dish for any meal.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 (16 ounce) package egg noodles
  • 1 (16 ounce) container cottage cheese
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 0.5 teaspoon sea salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter until bubbly. Add and stir onion in the fragrant butter until soft, about 7 to 10 minutes.
  • While waiting, boil a pot of salted water. Add egg noodles and cook until slightly tender, about 5 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.
  • Drizzle the savory onion mixture onto the noodles, then gently fold in the creamy cottage cheese, tangy sour cream, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is warm and the noodles are perfectly al dente, about 5 to 8 minutes.
