Easy crème de menthe bars, mint-filled brownies.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 (16 ounce) can chocolate syrup
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 0.25 cup creme de menthe liqueur
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 6 tablespoons butter
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a bowl, cream together sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Incorporate eggs. Fold in flour, salt, chocolate syrup, and vanilla until well combined. Transfer batter to the prepared pan.
  • Place in the oven and bake for 30 minutes until golden brown. Allow it to cool for 15 to 30 minutes before serving.
  • Make the frosting while the brownies are cooling by combining confectioners' sugar, butter, and crème de menthe until smooth.
  • Prepare the decadent topping by gently melting the chocolate chips and butter over low heat until velvety smooth.
  • Smooth a generous layer of frosting over the cooled brownies, then chill in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes until set.
  • Smoothly spread the velvety chocolate topping over the luscious frosting. Allow it to rest until perfectly firm, approximately 15 minutes. Precisely slice into 24 delectable squares.
