Easy St. Patrick's Day dessert: Mix cake mix with whipped topping and optional creme de menthe flavor for a green treat anytime.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package white cake mix
  • 3 tablespoons creme de menthe liqueur
  • 1 (16 ounce) can chocolate syrup
  • 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons creme de menthe liqueur
Instructions:
  • Make a box of white cake mix according to the package instructions, but use 3 tablespoons of Creme de Menthe flavoring or liqueur instead of 3 tablespoons of water.
  • Transfer the mixture to a 13x9 inch pan and bake following the instructions on the package.
  • Take the hot cake out of the oven, then use a fork to poke holes in it. Drizzle chocolate syrup over the top while it's still warm. Place it in the refrigerator (or freezer if preferred). After it cools, blend whipped topping with 2 tablespoons of creme de menthe and spread it on the cake. Store in the refrigerator for freezing, if desired.
