Air-fryer Crab Rangoon: Crispy, crab-filled delights with cream cheese and spices. A delicious twist on Chinese-American cuisine.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup seedless apricot fruit spread
  • 1 tablespoon chili-garlic sauce
  • 1 tablespoon less-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange zest
  • 2 tablespoons fresh juice (from 1 orange)
  • 4 un cream cheese
  • 4 ounces fresh lump crabmeat, drained
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
  • 2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, grated (1/2 teaspoon)
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 18 wonton wrappers
Instructions:
  • Combine apricot spread, chili-garlic sauce, soy sauce, orange zest, and orange juice in a small bowl to create the flavorful dipping sauce.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for optimal cooking temperature.
  • Combine cream cheese, crab, chives, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, pepper, and salt in a bowl to create a flavorful filling. Place 6 wonton wrappers on a work surface, covering the rest to keep them moist.
  • Place a generous 2 teaspoons of the crab filling in the center of each wrapper. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water. Fold two opposite corners over the filling and press to seal. Fold the remaining two corners towards the center, sealing the edges to enclose the filling. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  • Spritz dumplings with cooking spray and place them evenly in the air fryer basket, working in batches if necessary.
  • Crisp up the dumplings until they turn a beautiful golden brown, which should take around 8 minutes. Serve them alongside the sauce for a delightful meal.
