Quick and simple twist on chocolate-covered cracker brittle, perfect for making with kids.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 (8 ounce) packages thin round wheat crackers (such as Dare Breton®) Original Crackers)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and line a baking sheet with heavy-duty aluminum foil.
  • Arrange the crackers on the foil-lined baking sheet, slightly overlapping, resembling shingled tiles. Combine butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat, bringing to a boil. Let it boil for 3 minutes. Evenly pour the butter mixture over the crackers.
  • After baking for 15 minutes in the preheated oven, take out the crackers and generously top them with chocolate chips.
  • Allow the chips to melt for approximately 2 minutes before spreading them over the crackers using a spreader or kitchen knife. If desired, sprinkle with nuts. Let cool completely for about 1 hour, then break into chunks and store in an airtight container.
