Whip up festive Cranberry Crumb Bars for any occasion! Easy to make, perfect for sharing at gatherings or as a sweet treat.
Ingredients:
  • 2 1/2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup ground slivered almonds
  • 1 cup cold butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
  • Juice of 1/2 orange (4 teaspoons)
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F and generously grease a 13x9-inch pan with butter or cooking spray.
  • Combine flour, 1 cup of sugar, almonds, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Using a pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Mix in the egg. Press 2 1/2 cups of the mixture into the pan. Add cinnamon to the remaining crumb mixture and set aside.
  • Combine all filling ingredients in a medium bowl and spread evenly over the crust. Sprinkle the reserved crumb mixture evenly over the filling.
  • Bake for 45 to 55 minutes until the top turns a lovely golden brown. Let it cool completely, then chill in the refrigerator. Cut into 6 by 4 rows and store tightly covered in the fridge.
