Indulge in a warm cranberry molasses cake drizzled with sweet butter sauce and topped with vanilla ice cream - perfect for any occasion!
Ingredients:
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup molasses
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 1/4 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 1/4 cups fresh or frozen (thawed) cranberries
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and generously spray a 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray.
  • Whisk together eggs, 3/4 cup sugar, molasses, and water in a large bowl until well combined. In a separate medium bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking soda. Gently mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined, then gently fold in the cranberries. Transfer the mixture into a pan.
  • Bake for 37 to 42 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool for 20 minutes.
  • In a 2-quart saucepan, warm up the Sweet Butter Sauce ingredients over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture slightly thickens and the sugar dissolves.
  • Prepare a sharp knife by spraying its edge with cooking spray. Slice the warm cake into 5 rows by 4 rows. Enjoy the cake with a delicious warm butter sauce.
