Cranberry-Pineapple Sauce

Elevate cranberry sauce with pineapple, walnuts, and a splash of orange liqueur for a delightful twist.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup orange juice
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 cup light brown sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 (12 ounce) package fresh cranberries, coarsely chopped
  • 2 cups crushed pineapple with juice
  • 0.25 cup chopped walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons brandy-based orange liqueur (such as Grand Marnier®)
Instructions:
  • Combine orange juice, white sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook and stir until sugars dissolve, about 5 minutes. Add in cranberries, pineapple, and walnuts. Cook and stir frequently until the sauce slightly reduces and thickens, around 25-30 minutes.
  • Take the saucepan off the heat and gently blend in the orange liqueur.
