Elevate your breakfast with Bisquick® cranberry walnut scones - ready in 30 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 2 cups Original Bisquick™ Baking Mix
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons firm butter or margarine
  • 2/3 cup buttermilk or fat-free (skim) milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2/3 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon margarine or butter, melted
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 425°F. Pour water over cranberries in a 1-quart microwavable dish. Cover with plastic wrap, leaving a vent, and microwave on High for 1 minute. Remove plastic wrap and allow cranberries to cool.
  • Combine Bisquick mix, sugar, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Use a pastry blender or two knives to cut in 3 tablespoons of butter until the mixture resembles fine crumbs. Gently mix in buttermilk, vanilla, cranberries, and walnuts until just moistened.
  • Spoon dough onto ungreased cookie sheet in 1/4 cup portions. Optionally add sugar on top. Bake until golden brown, 10 to 11 minutes. Brush warm scones with 1 tablespoon melted butter and sprinkle with sugar if desired.
