Boost protein in pancakes with instant cream of wheat for a delicious twist.
Ingredients:
  • 1.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.33333334326744 cup instant cream of wheat
  • 0.33333334326744 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1.25 cups milk
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 0.25 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, cream of wheat, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, sour cream, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla. Make a well in the dry ingredients, then gently stir in the wet ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Preheat a large skillet over medium heat. Pour 1/3 cup of batter onto the skillet and cook until bubbles form on the surface. Flip with a spatula and continue cooking until browned on the other side.
