Try this mouthwatering Cajun-inspired skillet supper using Ultimate Hamburger Helper® as a base!
Ingredients:
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup thin bite-size strips green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup thin bite-size strips red bell pepper
  • 1 small onion, cut into thin strips
  • 1 box Ultimate Hamburger Helper™ three cheese marinara
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 2 1/4 cups milk
  • 3/4 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon Frank's™ RedHot™ Original cayenne pepper sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups cubed cooked chicken
  • 1 1/2 cups sliced smoked andouille or other smoked sausage
Instructions:
  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook bell peppers and onions for about 4 minutes until crisp-tender. Remove from skillet.
  • Combine uncooked pasta and seasoning mix from the Ultimate Hamburger Helper box with hot water, milk, thyme, and pepper sauce in the skillet. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  • Lower the heat and simmer covered for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add in the chicken, sausage, and vegetables. Bring to a boil again, then lower the heat, cover, and simmer for about 8 minutes more until the pasta and vegetables are tender. Take off the heat and mix in the tomato herb sauce (from the Ultimate Hamburger Helper box). Serve with extra pepper sauce, if preferred.
