Simple, classy Cajun dish, pair with salad, adjust spice as desired.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (8 ounce) package angel hair pasta
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 cups milk
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions:
  • Bring a large pot of beautifully salted water to a lively boil. Add pasta and cook for 4 minutes until perfectly al dente. Drain the pasta.
  • In a large heavy skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Saute shrimp for 1 minute on each side, then add garlic and cook for 1 more minute. Remove shrimp and set aside. Stir in flour and Cajun seasoning, cook and stir for 5 minutes. Gradually whisk in milk until thickened. Take off heat, season with salt and lemon juice, then return shrimp to the sauce. Serve sauce over cooked pasta.
