Creamy Parmesan pasta with nutmeg, paired perfectly with salad and garlic bread.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 pound linguine pasta
  • 1 thick slice bacon
  • 0.25 cup butter
  • 0.5 cup heavy or whipping cream
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions:
  • Bring a pot of water to a roaring boil. Add pasta and cook for 7 to 8 minutes until al dente. Drain and set aside covered.
  • Fry bacon in a small skillet over medium heat until crispy. Crumble into small pieces and set aside.
  • Melt butter in a pasta pot over gentle heat, then pour in cream without boiling. Mix in cooked pasta, Parmesan cheese, and bacon until combined. Let the sauce thicken briefly, then sprinkle with white pepper and nutmeg. Serve promptly.
