Indulgent shrimp and mushrooms cooked in garlic, cream cheese, herbs, and tossed with linguini for a gourmet meal. Perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (8 ounce) package linguini pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 0.5 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 0.75 teaspoon dried basil
  • 0.66666668653488 cup boiling water
  • 0.5 pound cooked shrimp
Instructions:
  • 1. Boil a large pot of lightly salted water. 2. Cook linguini until tender, approximately 7 minutes. 3. Drain the pasta.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter until sizzling. Add mushrooms and cook until tender and golden. Transfer to a plate.
  • Melt half a cup of butter in the same pan with minced garlic. Add cream cheese, breaking it up with a spoon as it melts. Mix in parsley and basil. Simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in boiling water until sauce is smooth. Add cooked shrimp and mushrooms, heat through.
  • Combine al dente linguini with succulent shrimp sauce for a delectable and satisfying dish. Serve immediately.
