Creamy white wine shrimp pasta with fragrant basil, ready in under 30 minutes. Customize with your choice of shrimp and pasta shape.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package spaghetti
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1.25 pounds shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 splash dry white wine
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh basil
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • 1. Boil a generous amount of salted water in a large pot. Add spaghetti and cook until al dente, about 12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • As the spaghetti simmers, gently warm oil in a spacious skillet on medium heat. Sauté garlic until soft but not golden for a minute. Introduce shrimp and cook until they turn opaque, approximately 3 minutes. Pour in wine, lower the heat, and mix in cream. Let the sauce simmer until it thickens slightly for 3 to 5 minutes. Finally, fold in basil, season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • After cooking spaghetti, layer it with creamy shrimp and sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top for a delicious dish.
