Whip up a delicious chicken pot pie for a comforting family dinner using Pillsbury™ Crescent Rolls and veggies.
Ingredients:
  • 1 large onion, chopped (1 cup)
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 can (103/4 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 4 cups chopped cooked chicken
  • 2 bags (12 oz each) frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Rolls (8 Count)
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F and generously coat a 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Begin by lightly coating a 10-inch skillet with cooking spray and heating it over medium heat. Add the onion and cook for 3 minutes until slightly softened. Then, stir in the garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper, and continue to cook for an additional 2 minutes until the onion is tender.
  • Combine the onion mixture, soup, sour cream, chicken, and vegetables in a large bowl, then transfer the mixture into a baking dish.
  • Gently roll out dough on a floured surface into a 13x9-inch rectangle. Press firmly to seal perforations and edges. Place the dough over the filling and fold edges to fit the casserole, then make small slits on top of the dough.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, or until the crust is a deep golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
