Houston markets offer delicious and mild Basa fish.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon stone ground mustard
  • 1 teaspoon capers
  • 1 teaspoon ketchup
  • 0.25 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.25 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 1 pound swai fish
  • 1.5 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup finely crushed plain Melba toast rounds
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) for the perfect temperature.
  • Combine mayonnaise, mustard, capers, ketchup, paprika, and hot pepper sauce in a bowl, and mix well until fully blended.
  • Coat basa fillets in 1 tablespoon of olive oil and crushed Melba toast. Season with salt and pepper. Lightly spray coated fish with remaining olive oil using a kitchen sprayer. Place in a baking dish and garnish with garlic and lemon slices.
  • Bake until fish flakes easily with a fork and coating is lightly browned, about 15 minutes. Serve with the delicious mayonnaise sauce mixture.
