Crispy breaded pork chops with a savory crust and succulent meat, reminiscent of a cherished family recipe.
Ingredients:
  • cooking spray
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 4 (5 ounce) bone-in, center-cut pork chops
  • 1.5 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.25 cup olive oil
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) while you lightly coat a wire rack with cooking spray and place it on a rimmed baking sheet.
  • Combine eggs and water in a shallow dish and prepare bread crumbs in another dish.
  • Ensure each pork chop is generously seasoned with a perfect balance of salt and pepper. Coat them delicately in egg, letting any extra drip off before giving them a satisfying bread crumb bath until fully covered.
  • In a large skillet, heat half of the oil over medium-high heat. Sear 2 chops until golden and crisp for about 2 minutes. Flip and cook the other side for an additional 1 to 2 minutes. Transfer to a prepared rack. Use the remaining oil in the skillet to sear the rest of the chops.
  • Bake tender pork chops in a preheated oven until they reach 155 degrees F (68 degrees C), about 10 to 15 minutes, ensuring they are no longer pink in the center.
