Indulge in crispy buttermilk fried chicken for a delicious snack or meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1kg chicken wing nibbles
  • 500ml buttermilk
  • 460.00 gm vegetable oil, for deep frying
  • 500.00 ml plain flour
  • 10.00 gm baking powder
  • 5.00 gm mild paprika
  • Lemon wedges, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a spacious glass or plastic bowl, place the chicken and pour over the buttermilk, ensuring it is fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours or preferably overnight.
  • Preheat the oven to 180C (160C fan) and line a baking tray with baking paper.
  • In a large frying pan over high heat, heat oil. In a large, shallow dish, combine flour, baking powder, and paprika. Season well. Add chicken in batches, coat well, and fry for 3-4 mins until golden. Transfer to a tray and bake in the oven for 20 mins until cooked through. Serve with lemon wedges.
