Crispy home fries fried with onions in olive oil - a delicious breakfast addition.
Ingredients:
  • 4 medium russet potatoes, peeled
  • 0.5 large onion
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pinch garlic salt, or to taste
  • 1 pinch seasoned salt, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Dice the potatoes into 3/4-inch cubes. Slice the onion into 2 or 3 pieces, then halve the rings and separate them.
  • In a 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, heat oil. Add cubed potatoes, sprinkle with garlic salt and seasoned salt, and spread evenly in the skillet. Cook without turning for 5 to 8 minutes until browned. Flip and continue cooking, turning every 5 to 8 minutes, until evenly browned.
  • Once the potatoes have achieved the perfect color, introduce the onion. Cook while stirring occasionally until the onion is slightly cooked, around 5 to 8 minutes more.
  • Remove the golden-brown potatoes and onions from the oil and transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate. Let them cool for 2 to 5 minutes before serving.
