Elevate your brunch with a decadent croissant French toast bake. Buttery croissants create a crispy, impressive dish that's a breeze to make. Perfect for company or special occasions!
Ingredients:
  • Cooking spray
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 8 large croissants (about 1 1/4 pounds), halved horizontally
  • Powdered sugar, fresh berries, and/or maple syrup
Instructions:
  • Prepare all your ingredients. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), and generously spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Combine eggs, milk, heavy cream, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl and whisk until smooth.
  • Immerse each croissant half in the egg mixture, ensuring it is completely saturated.
  • Place the dipped croissants in the baking dish, slightly overlapping if necessary, and make sure to pour any leftover egg mixture over them.
  • Bake in the oven until golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean, approximately 30 minutes.
  • Allow to rest for 15 minutes before presenting. Top with toppings of your choice before serving.
