Indulgent croissant French toast with vanilla and cinnamon, perfect for a festive holiday breakfast or brunch!
Ingredients:
  • 4 large croissants, halved horizontally, left out overnight
  • 3 large eggs
  • 0.5 cup half-and-half
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 200°F (95°C).
  • In a shallow bowl, combine eggs, half-and-half, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg. Dip each croissant half into the mixture, ensuring they are fully coated, flipping and gently pressing down as needed.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Place four croissant halves, cut-side down in the skillet and fry for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden brown. Transfer to the oven to keep warm as you cook the rest of the croissants.
  • Enjoy with your preferred toppings while still warm.
