Elevate your childhood favorite with a crunchy granola topping for a fun twist.
Ingredients:
  • 4 slices bread (any variety)
  • 3 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons fruit jelly (any flavor)
  • 1 Nature Valley™ peanut butter crunchy granola bar (1/2 pouch from 8.9-oz box)
Instructions:
  • Using a rolling pin, gently flatten each slice of bread. Spread 1 tablespoon of peanut butter on 2 slices and 1 tablespoon of jelly on the remaining 2 slices.
  • Make 2 stacks by placing 1 slice of bread spread with peanut butter, peanut butter side up, on top of 1 slice of bread spread with jelly, jelly side up. Roll each stack jelly-roll fashion to create 2 rolls. Freeze the rolls for 15 minutes.
  • Crush a granola bar on a sheet of waxed paper. Take the rolls out of the freezer. Spread a thin layer of the remaining 1 tablespoon of peanut butter on the outside of each roll. Roll each in the crushed granola bar. Cut each roll into 4 small pieces. Serve immediately or freeze for an additional 15 minutes for a firmer texture before serving.
